You do not need to redraw your logo before asking for a neon sign. Send Color Neon the logo you already use, tell us where the sign will go and give us the size you have in mind. We prepare a free design preview and quote so you can see what we propose and how much it would cost.
The preview is a drawing of your proposed sign. It lets you check the lettering, colours and parts that will light up before you order. You can ask for changes, and production starts after you approve the design and pay.
What should you send for a neon logo quote?
Start with your original logo file, or the clearest version you have. The useful details are the shape of the letters, their spacing and any symbol beside them. If you have several versions, tell us which one you want on the sign. You do not need to turn it into a neon drawing yourself.
Next, tell us where you want to put it. A sign inside a shop, behind a reception desk or in a window can call for different choices. For example, a window sign needs to be considered against whatever people will see behind it. A photo of the intended spot helps us understand that setting; it does not replace checking the dimensions.
Give the size you have in mind and say whether you mean width or height. “About 60 cm wide” is much clearer than “60 cm”. If you are unsure, give us the available wall space instead. We can discuss a suitable size in the proposal rather than asking you to choose blindly.
What will the design preview show?
The preview lets you compare your original logo with the proposed sign before it is made. Look at the letter shapes, their spacing, the colours and the overall size. It should also be clear which parts will light up: a line shown in the design does not necessarily mean a separate strip of neon.
In this illustrative STUDIO design, the main name is made with illuminated strokes. The words “creative space” underneath are printed, so they do not light up themselves. That is one possible treatment to discuss, not a rule for every logo. If you want all the lettering to illuminate, say so: we need to consider whether it can work at your chosen size.
The backing matters too. A rectangular clear panel gives a different outline from a panel cut around the design. Ask to see what is proposed behind the letters, not only the illuminated part.
Why can a logo look different in neon?
On a screen, a logo can have very thin lines and tiny lettering. An LED neon sign makes its illuminated lines with a physical light tube. That tube has a width and needs room to bend. A detail that is easy to draw on screen may therefore need more space when it is made in neon.
Imagine a logo with a large business name and a small handwritten slogan underneath. The main name may have enough room for each letter to be formed clearly. In the smaller slogan, the loops and gaps between letters can be much tighter. At the size you have chosen, it may not be possible to follow all those details with the neon tube.
A larger sign can give the small lettering more room, but increasing the size is not always the answer. You may have limited wall space, or keeping the exact shape of the lettering may matter more to you than having a tube-style neon sign.
In that case, we can also discuss a logo cut from acrylic and lit with LEDs. Instead of forming the letters with neon tubing, this option uses cut pieces of acrylic to follow their shapes. It is a different type of illuminated sign, so we would show you a preview and quote for that option before you choose. Our comparison of illuminated sign types explains why construction matters when comparing alternatives.
You do not need to work out these changes yourself. Send your original logo and tell us which details you want to keep. We can explain what needs adapting in the neon version and show you the proposed changes before you approve the design.
How much does a neon logo cost? A quote in three sizes
Size is only one part of a proposal. The quote also needs to identify the design being made. To make the figures easier to understand, here is one anonymised Color Neon quotation dated 25 September 2026. It offered the same design in three sizes. It was for a different design from the STUDIO illustration above.
| Width × height | Excluding VAT | Including VAT |
|---|---|---|
| 49 × 60 cm | €239.00 | €286.80 |
| 60 × 74 cm | €289.00 | €346.80 |
| 70 × 86 cm | €349.00 | €418.80 |
Read both dimensions together. In the first option, 60 cm is the height, not the width. The larger options were quoted at higher prices for this design. That does not create a price-per-centimetre rule for another logo.
On a French quote, HT means excluding VAT and TTC means including VAT. The figures above show both amounts exactly as quoted. They are a dated example, not a current price list for all signs.
If you change the artwork, add elements or choose the acrylic alternative, ask for the quote to match that new proposal. Do not assume the original price still applies. Before ordering, the design, dimensions and price should refer to the same version.
What happens after you receive the quote?
If something is not right, tell us what you want to change. That might be the size, colour, position of a symbol or a detail in the lettering. Refer to the preview when explaining it, so we are discussing the same part of the design.
Once you are happy with the proposal, you approve the design and make payment. Production starts after those steps. If you need the sign for an opening or event, tell us the date before approving the order so we can confirm the timing for your project.
To start, send your logo, intended location and approximate size through our custom-logo enquiry form (French). We will prepare the free preview and quote from there.
